August 14th, 2008 Boats, iPods
and an Automobile….that’s how we got to Boston
for this year’s ASE. And as we could tell from
the crowd at the Westin hotel bar Sunday night
when we arrived, it was well worth the trip. After
a spirited dinner and short night’s sleep, we
walked over the bridge to the Seaport and spread
out to introduce Globalizer for the first time
to an American audience.
There were many new faces at the show and of
course plenty of familiar ones as well. We spoke
with a number of advertisers, affiliate networks,
SEM and SEO companies. While many didn’t recognize
our new name, virtually all were familiar with
our track record of delivering results for our
clients and want to be a part of the launch of
the Globalizer Network later this month. After
the extremely well attended post show happy hour
at the Seaport bar, we hit Grill 23 for a client
dinner and then headed off to the New England
Aquarium for the LeadFlash party.
Maybe I’m just old but I definitely preferred
the relative ambiance of the aquarium which allowed
you to actually hear what the person next to you
was saying instead of just nodding through the
techno beat of the latest club and hoping you
didn’t miss something actually important like
‘we’re going with your competitor’. Not to mention
the real life drama and wondering if the shark
was going to catch one of the tunas.
Next trip for Globalizer, Ad Tech London, Sept
24-25…hope to see you there.
August 8, 2008 Globalizer.com
has finally launched! We've been so busy putting
ads, media buys and deals together that the launch
of our corporate site Globalizer.com kept getting
delayed. Just in time, for the Affiliate Summit
2008 East in Boston... Stay tuned as our global
affiliate network, GlobalizerNetwork.com is set
to launch later this month.
June 25, 2008 Globalizer had
our coming out party yesterday at the Online Marketing
Show 2007 at the Business Design Centre in London.
Not that there was any question, having attended
the past few Ad Tech London shows as well as last
year's Affiliate Summit London, but clearly the
attendance and excitement at online marketing
shows in the UK has grown tremendously. The Online
Marketing Show had a nice mix of affiliate networks,
SEMs, consultants and of course mobile marketers.
The seminars were all completely packed as attendees
looked to gain any shred of new knowledge. The
show was a success and we were able to make some
great new contacts which will translate into some
offers on the GlobalizerNetwork that you won't
finy in any of the other US based affiliate networks.
Of course a trip to London wouldn't be complete
without catching some good music and lucky for
us, Radiohead just happened to be playing Victoria
Park during this trip. A few of us checked them
out and Radiohead did not disappoint. Highlights
of the show included the Bends, Karma Police and
closing numbers 2+2=5 and Paranoid Android. Here's
hoping some great bands are playing when Ad Tech
London 2008 rolls around...
